Yes, yes, yes…
I am where I am because I had a supportive father who recommended I get an Electrical Engineering degree. He, too, had an EE degree and was a Systems Engineer at IBM where he had accounts like Eli Lilly. He wrote me a letter when I was in high school that said if I got an EE degree, it would open doors for me. He said that I would have options. I could do EE work or I could do marketing, sales, or be a manager.
I am blessed to have had a father supporting me to pursue STEM. So, off to Purdue University I went and graduated with an EE degree. When I went around to different companies at the college fairs, Andersen Consulting drew me in: Do you like a challenge? Do you like to try different things? Do you like to problem solve? Yes, Yes and Yes!!! This led to 25 years at Andersen, which eventually became Accenture.
I started out programming…
then designed systems…
then managed teams developing and designing systems…
then oversaw complex systems project teams…
then learned how procurements work with State governments…
then led sales…
then led sales and delivery over the North America practice focused on human (social) services for state and local government growing the business by 150%…
then oversaw a handful of states across all areas of focus…
then decided it was time to take all that I learned and loved to grow and be an entrepreneur and became the owner of afit!

Served in the c-suite as an SVP and the Chief Product, Customer Experience, Digital, and Marketing Officer—driving profitable growth through product innovations, insight-driven CX, digital expansion strategies, and high value branding and marketing.
Wai is a collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring others and excels at building strong and enduring trusted relationships with colleagues, teams, customers, and alliance partners. She is strategic problem solver who is resourceful, outcomes focused and skilled at consensus building across disparate groups. Martine Edwards is a motivated IT Project Manager with a strong work ethic, professional demeanor, and great team leadership skills. She is skilled in Project Pro, Microsoft Office Suites (Access, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Project Pro, & Word); Visio, Microsoft SharePoint, Kanban board. She encompasses hybrid methodologies while leading her project teams.
Martine currently oversees resources allocation, annual projects, creating documentation, release management, and scribes. Able to maintain a sense of humor under pressure, she is poised and competent with a demonstrated ability to easily transcend cultural differences and thrives in deadline-driven environments. She developed a passion for the project management world which lead her to her current position as an IT Project Manager, after working as a Project Coordinator in the Healthcare sector for 3 years.
Martine enjoys working for afit because she has a vast degree of control and freedom within her job. She is encouraged to try new things out and be innovative. Most importantly, she feels recognized!
