OUR TEAM

JULIE BOOTH PHILLIPS
CEO
Do you like a challenge? Do you like to try different things? Do you like to problem solve?
Yes, yes, yes…
I am where I am because I had a supportive father who recommended I get an Electrical Engineering degree. He, too, had an EE degree and was a Systems Engineer at IBM where he had accounts like Eli Lilly. He wrote me a letter when I was in high school that said if I got an EE degree, it would open doors for me. He said that I would have options. I could do EE work or I could do marketing, sales, or be a manager.
I am blessed to have had a father supporting me to pursue STEM. So, off to Purdue University I went and graduated with an EE degree. When I went around to different companies at the college fairs, Andersen Consulting drew me in: Do you like a challenge? Do you like to try different things? Do you like to problem solve? Yes, Yes and Yes!!! This led to 25 years at Andersen, which eventually became Accenture.
With over three decades of complex sales and delivery experience, I was promoted to Managing Director with accountability for the North America government practice focused on human (social) services. I had a variety of experiences and oversaw hundreds of millions of dollars in contracts and managed thousands of people. This experience helps me, as owner and CEO of aFit, be understanding and responsive to what our clients, prime vendors, and our employees need to be successful.
Three ways we problem-solve for our clients:
- Seeking to understand and listening to our clients
- Hiring and growing high-quality talent
- Focusing on solutions that create true outcomes for our clients
I believe in doing the right thing…by our clients and by our people. Integrity is a core value for a reason.
I also believe that at the end of the day, quality of life is what matters. It is the relationships we have and the people in our lives that matter. We spend the majority of our time each week at work so we want to enjoy who we work with and what we do. By focusing on doing the right thing, good things happen. This is the foundation of our culture at afit.
